Assistant General Director for Fire and Rescue at the General Command of Dubai Civil Defense, with over 20 years of operational and leadership experience. He began his career as a firefighter in 1999 and progressed through various command roles to his current position. He holds an Expert Degree in Fire Investigation from the UK Fire Service College, along with academic qualifications including a Bachelor’s in Law and specialized diplomas in Fire Science, Operations Room Management, and Airport and Port Firefighting.
Almutawa is an active member of several national and local committees, including the Unified Building Safety Standards Committee and the Emergency Response Team, and he leads the executive team of the Hassantuk Project – Smart Monitoring System. He also participated in international missions such as the Australia bushfires and Morocco earthquake response.
He led major strategic initiatives including the nationwide Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s), the 24/7 Smart Systems Project, and the Emirates Safety Lab.
Throughout his career, he has received numerous honors, including the Dubai Medal for Best Assistant Director General from the UAE Vice President, the “Basmat Ibda’a” humanitarian award from H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed Al Maktoum, the Knight’s Medal from the International Civil Defense Organization, the Distinguished Employee Award from the Ministry of Interior, and the Fellowship of the Institution of Fire Engineers (IFE) as its youngest Emirati recipient.
